"We had reserved a table with you last night and stayed with you for the first time. On the way, I would like to mention that in principle your locality has enjoyed us well and the waiters and waiters present were very friendly and attentive. I would also like to say positively that our desire to be able to pursue the Bundesliga could still be taken into account despite a great utilisation. We had ordered food from your Bavarian special ticket. Unfortunately, the delivery lasted approx. 75 minutes, so that the point of “hungry” was already clearly exceeded. Since we didn't want to wait any longer, we decided to have the food packed and take it. As we come from Grevenbroich, the food (at home arrived) was as expected cold (and the actually good mood also “cooled off). About half of the food unfortunately migrated to the garbage bucket, as it did not taste any more. We understand in principle that last night there was an increased utilisation of guests, but the ordered dishes (white sausages and Munich sausages) did not actually represent such an increased effort. Unfortunately, under the line a visit with “light and shadow”, which is still in a certain disappointment.
We always like to go to Oedinger. Whether for food, bowling or just to drink something. The price performance ratio is top: large portions at reasonable price. The service is very attentive and friendly sometimes it may seem to be a little too low-Rhine for non-locals, but this is simply part of it. It is recommended to book, by the way, as the restaurant is mostly well visited. There are 2 pretty new bowling alleys that can also be booked for children's birthdays in the afternoon.
It's okay with the ambience. Many years ago I moved from my home town of Korschenbroich, but I always like to come here, especially to Oedinger, because of the mussels. They're delicious. They can't do that.
We got scavengers yesterday, which were totally burned on the lower side. At the complaint, the waiter said that they were not burned and if we were to get new carvings, they would definitely look like that. No excuse. We have been eating there for years, never again
The Zur Waldesruh or Oedinger is an old rock in Korschenbroich and everyone in the village. I always go there and know exactly what to eat there and what not. The staff there is always dedicated and friendly. If much is to be done, it can happen that, depending on where you are sitting, you are asked 20 times for wishes or well-being. It's better than different. The ambience has come into the decades and conveys a respectable retro charm. So why only two stars? It is sad that we can only visit the restaurant after the evening and thus only get to peak times. The restaurant is always quite full and the kitchen is hopelessly too small or understated. Otherwise, I cannot explain that the waiting times for a court vary between acceptable 30 minutes to 2 hours. Unfortunately, it is not said that it can take longer and even if you ask, you will not receive a reliable answer. On such days, unfortunately, it happens again and again with the Junior Chef that meat is either not fried or, for example, medium steaks are completely through. If you do this, take the food completely away and make it new while the other time has to eat. They usually only have food when the others are ready. Unfortunately, it didn't happen a few times. The fact that now many finished products are used and even roast potatoes come out of the bag is therefore perfectly understandable. If we as a customer are informed about waiting times and a further regulation of error correction is implemented, I would give 4 instead of 2 stars.
