Caravan - Kos

Amazingly authentic eating that is not overpriced tourist! owner is really honest and friendly! at the day before we actually ate here, we were looking for a fresh fish dish, said the owner, he could do it, but had no suitable fresh fish, only frozen and would never try to pass it as fresh. He told us when we told him what we want him to bring it fresh for us tomorrow. we asked for sea bass and the next day we had grilled the most amazing fresh sea bass to perfection. (we also had the stuffed tomato and pfeffer, which was also amazing) also for all English out there, the chips he serves are the next fresh cut, actually roasted (not often cooked) chips that I found outside a chippy in england! brings most pubs in Great Britain to shame!

Delicious food and very friendly family staff. the shrimps saganaki, fried aubergines, filled tomato soup and coffee. delicious homemade dishes. thanks for the hospitality and dessert!

Very enjoyed our evening here! I would recommend it! eating is really good and cheap and the chef is so sweet and loving! they should really try.

My boyfriend and I went to Caravan for lunch after chilling at the Kouros beach for most of the morning. The restaurant was quiet empty, apparently most Kos-tumers visit at night. The meal was among the best we had in the island. The owner Hassan knows his way around both Turkish and Greek food, all home cooked by his wife. He is also very friendly, and so kind that one wants to return to Caravan.
