The Georgian House - Kostroma

We celebrated our son's wedding. I cannot praise this place enough. It was amazing. A special thanks to the staff for their exceptional service.

Very disappointing. The food does not match the advertised Georgian cuisine. The filling of the dolma is 90% rice and 10% tasteless meat. Pork? It’s all wrapped in tough grape leaves that are impossible to bite into. There’s no trace of the famous chashushuli; it’s just a beef soup. To be fair, the meat is tender. All the appetizers that claim to contain cheese likely have some cheese product instead. The vegetables used are the cheapest available. Meanwhile, the prices are significantly above average for Kostroma. To cap it all off, they served the fruit drink in a bottle that looked like it came from cheap wine. And it’s not even a fruit drink; it’s diluted sour jam mixed with water.

I did not like it at all. It wasn't cozy, and the food was unappetizing. The dishes did not reflect Georgian cuisine — they were bland and lacked spice and seasoning. As usual, they didn't have khinkali available. A restaurant that can’t offer key items on its menu is immediately off my list.

(For the sake of fairness, I note that the meat is soft). All snacks that claim cheese contain, most likely, a cheese product. Vegetables are used the cheapest. At the same time, the price level is much higher than the average for Kostroma. Well, at the end of my story fruit drinks were brought in a bottle of cheap wine. Yes, and it's not morse. A sour jam diluted in water.

I haven't eaten such lamb for a long time...delicious and sincere...very good-natured owners of the place. I recommend.
