Not knowing the area, I stopped at this restaurant that caught my eye to pass the time, while having a drink and I actually made a good choice. When Fez appeared, whom I obviously knew, he told me we would have dinner there and my surprise was the delicious food they serve and not only that, but they have a menu of vegetables and rice, where for 6 Rg. (approximately 1.5€) you can order whatever you want without limits, for struggling economies like mine and my vegetarian diet, it is a paradise. The service is good and the restaurant looks clean. It is divided into two locations, one in front of the other, on two street corners. The main building has two floors, on the upper floor with two rooms for more private meetings. They serve the food on banana leaves as a plate, although they also use, depending on the specialty, stainless steel or glass plates. Authentic South Indian food in which the fish curry or the chicken and lamb briyani stand out, which is a spiced rice, cooked with the meat of your choice, in a banana leaf and although I didn't try it, I know it's delicious from what my host told me. The nan, roti or chapati, in their different varieties, are delicious and I was able to try those. One morning they invited us to try the rambutan (a tropical fruit similar to lychee), which I already knew, but it was a nice touch for breakfast. Also notable are the teas, coffees and fresh juices they serve. When you finish the meal, they serve you a Teh Tarik, one of Malaysia's most popular teas, for free. They are open every day except Sundays and their hours are from 9am to 9pm continuously.
I stayed with my host in Penampang, in Kota Kinabalu (Borneo, Malaysia), and decided to stop at this restaurant for a meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food they served, which included a menu of vegetables and rice for 6 ringgit (approximately 1.5€), allowing customers to order unlimited dishes. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. The restaurant is divided into two premises, with one located across the street. The main building has two floors, with two rooms on the top floor for more private gatherings. The food is served on banana leaves, but they also use stainless steel or glass dishes depending on the specialty. The menu features authentic Southern Indian cuisine, with dishes such as fish curry, chicken and lamb biryani. The variety of breads, including nan, roti, and chapati, are delicious. I also had the opportunity to try boubutan (a tropical fruit similar to lychee) for breakfast. The restaurant serves natural teas, coffees, and juices as well. After the meal, they offer a complimentary teh tarik, a popular Malaysian tea. The restaurant is open every day except Sundays, from 9am to 9pm.
