Edele - Kozhikode

A Kerala non vegetarian breakfast is served here in all authenticity. Anywhere before 10:30am is a good time to visit to hog on Puttu beef, followed with a Pazham Pori (banana fritters). The beef was so soft, it truly melts in your mouth. I am originally from the state (not a resident) and I can vouch for the authenticity of the taste. A huge recommendation would be to ask them if they have freshly fried the Pazham poris. If you can get your hands on that, you won’t be munching on anything else! They are fried to a perfect crisp. A side note not the healthiest dish though as it is deep fried in oil. I do not like the taste of the tea here, but that’s true for me across Kerala. They truly whip up some mean Beef Roast! From transport point of view would strongly recommend an auto/two wheeler! No parking at all.

One of the best places to have breakfast in kozhikode. Food is damn good and cheap. Must try items are pazhampori and beef. Also try porotta upma and puttu. Tea was also nice. It was bit crowded when I visited and there’s no parking facilities so it’s better to come here on auto or bike. But if you are going to calicut for food exploration then this hotel is a must in your list, if you’re coming by train take an auto from railway station. Enjoy .

One of the best option to have breakfast in kozhikode...tried uppuma porotta and pazhampori with their beef...among those uppuma and pazhampori is my fav... Evnethough beef is rich in quality and taste .. quantity is not worth for 100...

Natural taste. from beginning to end, you can enjoy your favourite dish bark meat fry with banana fry and porotta. no additional aromes. good bark meat mixed with real pfeffer and masala. at the beginning of 1930. they can eat their food with nice people and enjoy their good joy of manipulation. I really loved the man around. they took care of my family and gave a hindrance to the rush.

One of the best biriyani in kozhikode. made in traditional malabar marvellous style. they should have eaten there hot. we had once ordered home and it wasn't really great when it was cold.
