Purely by coincidence we got out of the highway in Krautergersheim, which happens to be the Capital de la Choucroute (sauerkraut 's capital) We found this restaurant and didn 't hesitate to come in (it was Sunday evening and it was getting late), and found a very promising menu full of specialties from the Alsace region. Choucroute was simply excellent, but enormous. We could have had one dish for two persons, it would have been nice to be informed before ordering. We also ordered a Munster cheese au four (baked), with ham, fries and salad. Very good as well...!! A couple of good-tasting pizzas for the kids, but of course, it would be unfair to compare them with the true Italian pizzas we had two days before. The only negative point was the timing. We waited 50 minutes to get served !!! The rest of the menu looks simply fantastic, but get there with an empty stomach or in the middle of the winter, where you will need plenty of calories...
Excellent! Very good value quality price and service very appreciable! I highly recommend!!
Evening successful fried mussels... a real treat!!! I recommend
Flambée pie too loaded a lot of bacon so too salty and very fat. We won't go back.
