OFFICINA

After visiting this restaurant on 2 prior occasions with our German friends we decided to visit last night by ourselves. We ordered the same meal as on the 2 prior visits black tiger gambas with chilli and spaghetti. The 2 prior times the meals were great with big whole gambas. This time they came all cut up not whole. We questioned why it was so different and the answer was the big boss from Essen had told the restaurant to not give such portion. If this is so it must be written on the menu pieces of gambas. The price was still the same. Also I asked for 1 glass of White House wine and was charged 10 euros. This was very disappointing and found the the excuse insulting.

When you decide to go Italian in this gloomy little town, choose the Officina! Very nice food, domestic atmosphere and a staff that always make you feel like your the most important person in the restaurant. I love it!

I went for lunch and ate outside. The tables all have fresh flowers and the atmosphere was nice. My salad was good but maybe a little overpriced. I will go back.
