Clackback-microbrewery is located in a beautiful old, yet completely renovated barnyard just outside of Christianstad. In the barn, there is both a brewery and a bar/restaurant, all within biking or bus distance from Christianstad. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the bright, open spaces and simple decor. There are white sturdy walls, simple tables and chairs, and a cozy sofa group. The bar/brewpub consists of a long table and 4-5 smaller tables; the limited seating and the fact that it quickly fills up makes a table reservation more or less a must. The beer served is brewed by heelbacken himself, at the time of writing this, three types are available along with various types from other local and regional breweries; my personal favorite is heelbacken's IPA and I highly recommend it. The food served is burgers in various varieties; we had their chili burger and their vegetarian burger and we were very satisfied with both the food and drinks. Their fries served with ripped xo cheese are a fantastic combination that adds a little something extra to the meal. I also recommend trying their homemade chili mayo as a dipping sauce. Absolutely delicious! I think the brewery at Clackback is a nice place; the Spartan chairs may not be for everyone but if you're used to long benches as is the case in many similar microbreweries with dining areas, it's not something to dwell on. I would also wish they had turkey or chicken burgers as alternatives, but you can't have it all. Food, drinks, and atmosphere come highly recommended.
