We decided to take chole batura which was perfect and we all loved it. We took chilly paneer which was too sweet and didn't suit to our liking. We took roti and naan which were OK. We ended with Indian tea which was really good.
A Vegetarian’s saviour in Kuala Lumpur, I must say Saravana Bhavan serves excellent South Indian, Tamil Nadu style food. I am no stranger to Hotel Saravana Bhavan I grew up in a era where eating out is rare you don’t want to risk that 1 or 2 outings a month always ended up in Saravana Bhavan in their flagship outlets across T Nagar, Chennai. This outlet in KLCC, lives up to the brand name, their Signature Sambar is consistent across all their outlets across the globe, including this one. In my visit to KL this time, the whole family ended up eating here several times, the delicious food the friendly staff made us keep coming back for more.
A solely vegetarian restaurant, with Indian cuisine. I ordered several dishes and they all arrived promptly, the waiter was friendly and helpful with order suggestions.<br/ <br/ Favourite dish was probably tomato omelette, and the sweet carrots with nuts was nice.<br/ <br/ Very nice flavours to all the food, and a large menu to choose from. Very affordable for only 30 ringgits including Masala tea.<br/ <br/ This place was perfect for me because I'm gluten intolerant and most breads seem to be lentil based.<br/ <br/ They also have a Chinese menu, but why the hell are you going to eat Chinese food in an Indian restaurant.<br/ <br/
They offer wide variety of combo meals which are good. I have tried almost all of them. Very nice place to have south indian food. PS: Dont try chinese, My experience in their Brickfields outlet near nu central mall was worse regarding chinese.
I ate here by chance with an Indian friend. Neither of us were aware of its reputation in India at the time, but he commented that their masala dosai was easily the best he'd ever had. I have since eaten at a branch in Delhi, and I can say that their food standards are on par.<br/ <br/ However, I would strongly recommend against ordering the teh tarik.
