What a fantastic small restaurant, nothing was too much trouble, no children's menu on offer, however they offered 3 differed options for my 6 & 11 year old, i had the roast beef which was truly amazing. Desserts were out of this world, once more accommodating our requests, although not on the menu when we enquired for apple strudel, they were more than happy to sort and it was some of the best we have tasted in Austria. The mixed desserts were amazing. Overall just what was needed after a days skiing.
Accommodation small and poor, facilities very basic, food very basic and rustic, pork the majority of the time with poor cuisine. very much a smoking hotel, stale smoke everywhere
The restaurant " Kaminstuben" in the Hotel "Andreas Hofer" is a very excellent restaurant. If you decide to have fish, meat or Tyrolean food - everything is cooked and decorated very special. The Sweety " Griestopfenknödel" with " Kastanieneis" is incredible. The staff is amazing - friendly - good organised and very competent. They offer a special menue on christmas Eve and New Years eve which is always to recommend.
Truly excellent meat but only 2-3 sauces when there should be much more (no béarnaise, no ketchup, no mayonnaise, no blue cheese, no BBQ, no aioli, no crême fraîche, no pepper, no cocktail, no rouille, no échalote)
