Great food, prepare for a wait. Food was worth the conversation
I had a wonderful Prime Rib dinner. The place is cozy and friendly. Prices are moderate. I'll be back soon.
We are from out of town and stumbled upon this place after spending a day outside snow tubing. The small town family atmosphere hits you when you walk in. It's a refreshing change from all the chain restaurants and trendy new foodie spots back home. We ordered Wings, breaded mushrooms, ribs, and a chicken parm sub. All were great! I definitely recommend getting the hot honey garlic sauce. The portions were huge, but don't expect your food to come out quickly. Everything is made to order. Our chicken and mushrooms were hand breaded. The service was exceptional as well. The staff was so friendly and the locals were very welcome. If I'm ever in town again I would not hesitate to visit again.
After cooking Breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day, 7 days a week! I love to cook yet there is that one night when I want to venture out and enjoy the food of another chef that presents me a solid value in a quaint farmhouse atmosphere. The Kunkletown Inn satisfies me in more than one way: dining in this homelike setting. Eclectic and easy setting, unpretentious and casual to sit and enjoy the meal. First time guests could order the 8 ounce hand patted burgers, specialty choices, well appointed and satisfying with side of homemade CHIPS or large sliced French fries. Tonight the 10 ounce Delmonico steak was grilled to medium, tender and juicy, plated with 3 stuffed scallops. Delicious. The other entree choice of broiled seafood combo included 3 shrimp, 3 scallops and a homemade cream cake. Homemade crab cake with depth of tastes. Steamed broccoli and double stuffed baked potatoes rounded out the course. All prepared to order, a nominal wait for hot, fresh food.
