Digging for restaurants that are a bit lower can be easier through speaking with local residents or effective Google Maps research (which I had neither). Al Wadi Restaurant is one of them. From 8jd for a small size of makloube which is overpriced in Jordan standards. Other dishes seem to follow through with the overpriced prices too and portions that are less “Jordanian portion sizes” and more “small, Western portion sizes with high prices”. The makloube wasn’t stellar either very average tasting and one of the least delicious makloube I had in Jordan in my years of living here. There is a vegetarian section that includes moussaka, makloube, al wadi speciality, gallayeh, and the standard mezze dishes. Tha taboon/tannour bread was good. The restaurant is located in one of the busy areas of Wadi Musa that can be quite loud in the evenings, including when I had dinner there. There is both indoor (non smoking) and outdoor (smoking) seating. The restaurant is very often frequented by tourists who aren’t very knowledgeable about food prices in Jordan too. Customer service is alright.
Great local food, we enjoyed the food so much we came there two days in a row. the stuff is so nice, the service is effective and the food was so fresh. I would highly recommend
Service was very good. The hummus was great. We enjoyed Mansaf as well. Maklouba was okay. Nice atmosphere.
Such an amazing food we went twice in 2 day stay in Wadi Musa! Cheap and extremely tasty especially Hommos and Mutabla and the upside down typical Jordanian plate! Staff are friendly and welcoming Place is central and clean! Highly recommended
The bread here is something from another world! We tried the Jordan dish Mansaf and found it better than it looked! The homemade knafeh is simply delicious. The service is very friendly and nice and prices are for tourist, but there is not much you can do about it! It is definitely a place to try out!
