The sugar levels are so high here and everything is so artificial but I’ve been coming here for years getting the apple green tea with fruit jelly because this place is one of the original bubble teas!
Pear crush with black pearls and fruit jelly! Always need the pearls hehe! Fruit jelly is exactly fruity jelly and slightly adds the sweetness!
Once in a while goodness ... <br/ <br/ Milk Shake drink version of North East and South East Asians drink.<br/ <br/ Iced Red Tea with pearl, goodness under $5, can't go wrong with that once every 3 months ; <br/ <br/ Essence?
I paid almost $5 for a tall cup of chocolate milk. I 'm always trying to find things to like about bubble tea. It 's so hugely popular in Asia, and hundreds of millions of Taiwanese/Chinese/Japanese enthusiasts can 't all be wrong, eh? There are so many variations on the theme that it 's hard to get tired of them. Plus it seems like an appropriate thing to wash down some Asian dish at the Box Hill Centro food court. The loud, busy one near the train station, I mean, not the dull upstairs one with all the franchise eateries in the other part of the mall.<br/ <br/ I got a 'Coca Moca Nut ' or some similar silly name milk tea $4.80 for the next to largest size. It had a nice blend of coconut and chocolate flavours. Like drinking dessert, but not sickly sweet. The flavour had more of a chocolate milk vibe than tea taste. Being milk and tea based, it was thinner than the typical icy bubble teas. It turned out to be a good choice to go with the oily, spicy tom yum soup I had from elsewhere in the food court, because the milkiness cut through the greasy heat on my tongue. I feel a bit friviolous for paying almost $5 for a cup of glorified Milo, but what the heck a 600 ml bottle of Coke costs $4, and there 's ZERO nutritional value in that. My gut gives me less guilty about a milk tea.
