I haven't been here for a long time and as this cafe is air conditioned it was a no brainer on a really hot day! <br/ <br/ The service was warm and welcoming. I grabbed a seat looking out onto the street, which was great for people watching on this busy street.<br/ <br/ My strong skinny latte was delicious, the coffee had a great flavour, their was some good milk froth and not too hot! Tick tick tick. Woo hoo lol.<br/ <br/ Food wise I ordered some scrambled eggs on some<br/ seeded pumpkin bread. When it hit the table I was like whoa, I've hit the table I was like whoa!! <br/ <br/ The eggs were good, golden and tasty. This was a solid dish, and my only thing that let this dish down was the toast. The toast was quite dry, which was unfortunate.<br/ <br/ Overall this was a good meal, great service and excellent coffee. Oh and the old school music was pretty cool. This place is definitely worth a visit. <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ Previous review July 2018<br/ Called in here for a t/a coffee this morning. This is the ONLY cafe on Burnley St that I’ve seen open over the Xmas period. Yay lol<br/ <br/ Which explains why this cafe was so busy. But the service was really friendly and lighting quick. Perfect! <br/ <br/ Hey the coffee however was scalding hot!! Why??? <br/ <br/ I burnt my tongue trying to drink it so it was hard to taste the rest of the drink. A disappointing start to my day. But I’ll go back and specify a warm latte only haha
Had a quick brekkie here on a Saturday. I ordered chilli scramble while my partner had eggs on toast. My latte was delicious and the iced coffee actually came with icecreme to my partner's delight. Service was quick and efficient. One con: toast too hard to cut through.Overall a pleasant experience. Thank you for having us.
Impeccable service and amazing coffee make this gem of a cafe in Richmond a real treat to visit. With it's warm and cosy vibe, and relaxed decor; hanging out here is such a pleasure.<br/ <br/ I have found the staff to be really friendly and service is always efficient and timely. The food is also really good, and the baked goods are a special treat. Jethro Canteen is one of my favourite cafes in this part of town.
Just enjoyed a yummy Mother’s Day brunch here. We ordered the Seasonal Mushroom Medley, the Sweet Potato Rosti and the Seasonal Veggie Bowl. We all loved our meals and the coffee was great too. Great service and tables and toilets were clean. Look forward to coming back.
