The potato cakes seem homemade, with a light crispy golden batter and a good amount of well cooked potato inside. Add a touch of chicken salt and they’re absolutely delightful! The burgers could do with a bit more flavour, perhaps some more condiments, but the fish and chips are very nice! They’re even served on a plate with cutlery if you dine in
Got a menu log order from here. Good potato cakes! I asked if they had any chilli and they provided me with a complimentary small tub of chilli pickle thank you!
Saw this gem at Tribeca building and read many reviews about its yummy chips and good fish. So have it a go after a long hard day of work.<br/ <br/ Greeted by the owner (I reckon and ordered the Eat In Special with fish (optional was something else . He asked whether I want battered or grilled and originally I wanted grilled but then I changed my mind and I asked him which is better. He recommended battered because it’s crunchy. Paid by card (min EFTPOS $15 and waited approx 25 minutes. No biggie as I can see the kitchen was bumping up orders for online and phone orders take-aways for the dinner rush. <br/ <br/ A kitchen staff handed my eat-in with wooden tray to my table. I remembered reading one review where the customer wrote that there was no lemon being served in this shop despite being asked for one. I guess the owner took account of that service and put one now. Lo and behold, as the owner recommended, the battered fish was indeed crunchy. Fish filling was fresh and chips was well-seasoning. I reckoned the salt they used it’s sea salt? Greek salad was just wow; it’s actually quite a lot for a salad than my chips. I thought they forgot my drink but it was self-service from the fridge. Saw 2 unique can drinks (probably NZ brand? that I would like to try next time; <br/ <br/ Overall, it was a decent dinner meal. I probably will try other stuff on their menu like souvlaki or burger. I like their chips though as the size per piece was big. Paid $16.50 for fish and chips with Greek salad and a bottle of water (optional was can drink set.
