We had a clear goal in mind: filter coffee from Kenya – of course. But we went for the Full Monty instead: While the super friendly and smiling barista brewed our Kenyan filter coffee, she served us a little teaser filter brew from Guatemala to get us ready for the big brew: Santa Isabel, washed Caturra from Luis Valdés – TASTY. The Kenyan coffee came from Embu, SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 Batian varieties, and of course fully washed. The cup was sweet and clean, juicy with a bright citric acidity and delicious berry, citrus and yellow stone fruit notes LINGERING. While enjoying my French croissant, we got served our espresso shot from Colombia. La Esperanza: washed Caturra and Variedad de Colombia with notes of melon and black tea and a sweet honey finish. I remember this coffee very well from Boston – MOUTHWATERING. And then… we also tasty some sweet cascara, freshly brewed for us! What else can you ask for? Specialty coffee at its BEST! Thank you – especially for the amazing hospitality.
Ordered a cappuccino and noted they don’t offer soy option in case you wonder. they seemed to use medium roasted beans and a bit of sour aftertaste, on par with other great coffee shop
Amazing cup of flat white coffee. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great location for a quick coffee stop before carrying on with shopping the queen Victoria market.
How beautiful experience!! Appreciated for that making beautiful our day!!
One of the best café I’ve tried in Melb!! Must try cappuccino! One downside is they don’t do with soy milk, only dairy and oat
