Well cooked food and served quickly whilst still hot. Dance floor huge. Plenty parking at venue with security patrolling all the time. Highly recommended
A very nice venue and I was pleasantly satiated by the meals provided. The staff were pleasant even though they had to deal with some divas on every table and while the rest of us rolled our eyes the staff smiled and catered to every wish.
Went to a friend’s 60th wedding anniversary here at Melrose Reception Centre. They have halal meat options and the food they served is really nice. I had roasted beef with pepper sauce. Nice venue for Eid/Ramadan, birthday or any other celebrations.
Deb ball for my grand daughter. Very well organised, very good table service and food was good. Great night considering there was 1000+ people there.
I've attended a few functions here over the years. There are 3 function rooms, 2 of them can be joined by opening a side wall and a very large room is made with an unusual very high ceiling and a massive central light fixture with hundreds and hundreds of globes that dominates the room and adds a sense of glamour. The two rooms together easily holds 600 or more people with a huge circular dance floor and 2 substantial stage areas. Staff are numerous and friendly and generally helpful. The foyer area is relatively small for the number of people the venue can hold and so is the car park which is shared with a sports centre next door. There is a quite large area upstairs with an approx 30 metre wide glass balcony that looks down on the main ballroom and the massive illuminated chandelier. There is also a seperate bar and toilets in this open upstairs area that is accessed by 3 seperate stairways. One of them is a wide spiral stairway surrounded on one side by a spectacular curved glass brick wall 2 stories high. I've only ever seen this upstairs area used as a preparation or staging area/green room for performers, graduations etc where people can make an entrance down one of the 3 staircases. The venue and toilets especially have been recently renovated and look quite modern and stylish.
