The thaali all you can eat for $7.50 is definitely worth it. I really enjoyed the lentil curry and roti bread. The staff are friendly. I will return when in the city and hungry. Great vegan meal.
No Oms and ahs, it’s been a hectic week and that calls for some food delivery! I’ve recently moved houses and have yet to get some appliances so that means eating out (for better or worse) for the next little while. It also meant my first ever experience at Om Vegetarian. It’s been one of the cheap dingy eateries which never really appealed to me. I walked past it a lot. However in the delivery format, it gave us some good vegetarian options and some very good size serves considering the price.
Om Vegetarian is my go to for affordable and homely vegetarian Indian cuisine. Makki roti and saag is a special dish (corn bread and mustard leaf and spinach curry) which costs up to $18 for a serve in other restaurants. Priced at only $10.9 it is a real winner here. Also try the Samosa or Aloo Tikki Chaats for a tasty starter to share or light lunch if travelling solo.
When I’m in need of a quick, cheap and filling meal in the city, Om is my go-to. I love the no-frills environment and the all-you-can-eat veggie thali for $7.50. Considering it contains curries, rice, naan AND mango pickles, the value really can’t be beat. For something slightly more “fancy', Om also now offers a few mock meat dishes which is really exciting. Their vegan desserts also aren’t bad. If only it were open late. I doubt that would ever happen, but I can dream.
