Penang Coffee House - Kurunjang

This charming little spot has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for those looking for a casual dining experience rather than a fancy, meticulously presented restaurant. They serve delicious vintage Malaysian cuisine and have been a staple in the community for years. The service is friendly and efficient. We tried the wet hor fun and Thai fried rice, both of which were excellent. You won't find many places that serve better Malaysian food in the area!

This charming family-owned Malaysian restaurant is a great find! They only accept cash, but there's an ATM conveniently located nearby in the Hawthorn Hotel. The crispy roti is absolutely delicious, and we also really enjoy their nasi goreng. It's a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner.

The staff here are incredibly kind. They replaced my laksa at no charge because I wasn't fond of the fish version. The seafood laksa is delicious, and the roti is fantastic as well!

I am so happy this is in our hood, it’s so good. Best laksa lemak in Melbourne, especially when you ask for it spicier. The roasted pork in the soup is so yummy. Char kway teow is also delicious. Staff are so friendly and helpful, cash only though so make sure you have some. BYO wine and beer!

Very authentic Malay foods. Fantastic regional laksa with great roti. Murtabak goes enormous with fab dipping sauce. I don't think you can order wrongly.
