Track forwards a few weeks, and I am sitting at a wooden table, with the music blaring and older Greek women complaining about the noise. I felt right at home. Souvlaki is the specialty, and the vegetarian option is filled with halloumi, salad and chips. The salad was fresh, the halloumi fried and plentiful, the bread authentic. The sauce was extra garlicky.
I love Greek food and Spitaki did not let me down. We ordered the mixed gyro with chips, salad, pita and dip it was delicious. There was a generous amount of meat that was cooked beautifully. The pita was warm and soft, and the chips were delicious. The simple Greek salad was also great with a nice chunk of feta on the top. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful and our food arrived quickly. Great value for money I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area and need your Greek fix!
I was so surprised Spitaki was rated a 3.8 on Zomato, it definitely scored a lot higher in our books. The staff were friendly and the food was “mint” in my partners eyes. We hardly spoke when our food was out other than repeatedly saying how good it was. Huge sizes, the meat was tender and the chips were delicious! We will be back! Yum yum!!!
I come here as often as I can. The souvlakia are always freshly made to order, and the meat is lean and very tender. Beautiful sides like traditional chips and Greek salad are also a delicious option to order with your meal. Service is fast and always friendly. A great family owned business!
Wow! Casual, friendly and delicious. Saganaki was perfect. Dips delicious and all the souva’s hit the spot. All meats were tried but the favourite was chicken. Lovely soft bread. Will definitely be back when the mood for a souva hits. . I recommend you book as it is super busy on a Friday night. Fabulous staff as well.
