Woodfrog bakery makes the best danishes ever. Also the almond croissant is great to get it has the best almond past inside it. They also sell nice sourdough baguettes.
The sourdough baguette and almond croissant are really great at woodfrog. the price is not cheap but you get what you pay for and the guy that works there is really friendly
We love Woodfrog! Excellent bread is hard to find and Woodfrog is the place to find it. Sourdough Soir are our regular buys. The almond croissants are stacked with beautiful almond meal and the cranberry scones are delicious. Steve knows all his regulars by name and loves to chat when the queue is not out the door. So lucky to have this gem of a bakery in Kew.
3.5<br/ Couldn’t resist popping into Woodfrog for some sweet treats for the afternoon. We originally had our eye on the babka in the window but these were insanely expensive so just grabbed a blueberry danish and a date scone instead. The blueberry danish was ok but we’ve had such good danishes elsewhere recently and this one just didn’t stack up to those. The date scone was the highlight and was simply delicious. We ate it slightly heated with melted butter and really enjoyed.<br/ <br/ <br/ Previous Review<br/ 4<br/ Came across Woodfrog Bakery today on our grocery shopping expedition. I was instantly attracted to the carb content of this glassed front shop and came back for a second viewing grabbing one of their date scones and a couple of bagels to have with a chicken noodle soup tonight. The scone was a delicious addition to my afternoon cuppa and though fresh I loved it slightly heated with butter. There was a large range of, dare I say artisan breads which looked glorious. <br/ <br/ Loaves of bread were around $8 while baguettes $5 and bagels $2.50. Will be back to try more as sooo much better than supermarket fresh. Judging by the number of locals in store I assume they agree.
