My first day here and I tasted the aubergine with walnuts (local court orginal called nigwziani badrijani) and I almost cried. delicious! nice central place, friendly service, be it a bit slow. it is, however, cheap and I do not think that is the case. we spent about 50gel for 2 small meals and some coffee. because we paid less for a 2 nights in a private room, I don't think that's necessarily cheap. when it feels like a delicious splurge. (place is actually called baraqa).
The menu card is hard to read because it has no symbols for vegetarian or vegan meals. however, speaks the personal English and eating was delicious. I loved the chicali with mushrooms and picked vegetables, especially well maintained tomatoes.
Strange place with underwhelming and limited vegan options. the restaurant is located next to a busy street and has the atmosphere of a school cafeteria. despite the limited options in kutaisi I would not go back, nor would I go to someone else.
We ate here many times, both for breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, we ate lobiani and drank Americanos. For dinner, we ate many items, as the menu is rather large. The fruit compote drink was tasty and refreshing. The restaurant is large and located near the famous fountain. The inside has a warm, family feel and has tons of seating. I believe the name of the restaurant is Baraqa (with a Q instead of a K). Definitely give this place a try! Updated from previous review on 2021-06-17
