All aspects of the dining experience were spot on; attentive and knowledgeable staff, an idyllic setting, perfectly selected drinks and off course top level food. Oh and a plump, friendly cat dropped by to bid us farewell! Locally inspired and sourced food but with inventive flavour combinations that left us grinning after each dish. The dessert came as a bit of a surprise but was possibly the highlight. Well worth visiting even if you need to travel a long way to get there. This place would hold its own against the competition in any city but the location makes it extra special. Kiitos!
Very distant and beautiful place in an old wooden cabin. Outside you cannot predict what is the feeling inside: the staff was friendly and easy-going, good songs at the background and of course the menu was delicious. Small but high quality portions. They use a lots of local ingredients and it will be noticed there.
The food was absolutely fantastic and reflected the local flora and fauna tying the place to its surroundings. The atmosphere was casual while still having a clean, almost elegant feel to it. Great music. Reservations meant that the food was served quickly and eating at the restaurant wasn't as time consuming as one could expect. The presentation was also great.
We had the chance to eat at the Tapio every night during our stay at the Naali Lodge. This restaurant is definitely mind blowing both in the plate and outside. Conor is a talented and passionate chef who will transport you through a culinary trip across Finland, France and the UK. The service is remarkable thanks to Johannas' gentleness smile. This young couple deserves a round of applause and I wish them all the best. See you soon.
