Shimla Curry House - KYOGLE

Eating was amazing! we had butter huh and bark akabri and it was so good. they were my parents who had to eat from here for the first time and they would order 100% again! the staff was so nice and helpful. would definitely recommend!

The menu is extensive, and the portion sizes are generous given the prices. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Raita, Lamb Madras, Karahi Beef, and Garlic Naan. We had hoped to start with the chicken, but everything arrived at once, which was fine. The Chicken Tikka was tender and flavorful, but it was quite chunky and could have benefited from some improved presentation—a simple sprinkle of coriander on top would have made a difference. The Lamb Madras and Karahi Beef were outstanding, and the enticing aroma of the spices while they were cooking hinted at the deliciousness to come. My only criticism is that, while the lamb and beef were tender, they could have been even more so to elevate these dishes further, as the spice balance was excellent. The naan bread was a bit flat and oily, but they mentioned that they could customize it to your taste, so it could be made crispier and less oily upon request. Even the plain rice was a delightful surprise, steamed with cardamom pods and other spices, adding a unique touch to the meal. Overall, we had a pretty decent meal at a reasonable price, and we will definitely return. It's worth noting that the restaurant does not appear to have a liquor license or allow BYO; only cans of soft drinks are available.

I visited this restaurant earlier, but this time it was not as good. The lamb was tender, but it lacked flavor, and the garlic naan was quite disappointing—very tough and oily.
