The cookies included a star-shaped almond-chocolate sable, a cranberry-chocolate biscotti, and a chocolate-filled cookie. The last two were particularly delicious, even though I am usually not a fan of biscotti as they can be too hard. However, these were solid but not overly tough, and the chocolate in the filled cookies was smooth and tasty. They had a nice variety of green vegetables as well, but I was traveling and didn't have the chance to try them out. Overall, it was a great experience and probably the best vegan biscotti I've had.
I recently purchased some mikan and a set of three cookies from a company named Amrita. The set included a star-shaped cookie (almond-chocolate sable), a cranberry-chocolate biscotti, and a chocolate-filled cookie (referred to as a chocolate cake on the packaging). I found the last two cookies to be particularly delicious, which was surprising as I am not typically a fan of biscotti due to their hard texture. However, the biscotti was firm yet not overly tough, and the chocolate in the chocolate-filled cookie was smooth and flavorful, avoiding the grainy texture that sometimes occurs in vegan chocolate products. In fact, it was perhaps the best vegan biscotti I have ever tasted. While they also offered some interesting varieties of green vegetables, I was traveling and had no plans to cook, so I did not purchase them.
This cozy little store offers a nice variety of fresh organic produce sourced from local organic farms. Prices are fair for the quality of the vegetables. In addition to veggies, they also have vegan cookies, various oils, and sauces for purchase. You can find this shop on Kawaramachi-dori, just one block north of Marutamachi-dori. I purchased a selection of cookies from a brand called amrita, including star-shaped almond-chocolate-sable biscuits, a cranberry-chocolate biscotti, and chocolate-filled biscuits. The last two were particularly delicious, especially the biscotti which was not too hard. The chocolate in the chocolate-filled biscuits was smooth and tasty, unlike some vegan chocolates which can be granular or coarse. These were probably the best vegan cookies I have ever had. The brand also had some interesting green vegetable options, but I was traveling and did not plan to cook anything so I did not purchase them.
