The food is great, the price is reasonable. I recommend getting a course menu as it comes with a very nice range of taste and experience. If you are a party of six or more, you can enjoy the nomihoudai (all you can drink) option. It contains some intestines, so you should eat comfortably this. This is a Korean-style restaurant, making food more on the spicy side. The atmosphere is cozy, separate rooms available, with dimm, indirect lightning. Most likely you will sit on the floor, sometimes with leg room, some without. An English menu is available and the staff also speaks. No fear to ask something, they are very comforting, friendly and fast. Everything in every wonderful experience.
Make sure to book a table before you get there. This restaurant is so popular that there is no possibility to dive without a booking. The food is amazing and table service is professional. Some cold dishes with plum wine would be a great beginning, according to various types of fresh meat, especially the Wagyu and Oxtongue, highly recommended. The fat in Wagyu is naturally perfect with hot rice and Oxtongue gives the taste of crispy and juicy. This is the second time we tried this restaurant, but in another store for the first time. Both shops are great. Be ready with the price to JPY4500/p, but it is very reasonable.
If you are in Kyoto, love Japanese beef and want value for money, this is the restaurant you must go. Once you have tried it, whenever you go to other restaurants, you would miss this one. It is advisable to make a reservation beforehand and its parking lot is just next to it.
Great quality beef, same owner with the butcher next door, staff are friendly but can only speak really little english. My mum doesn't eat beef, but there's one pork option, and she had noodle dish too, quite nice too. Overall it's a good place to go if you stay near the area
