Le Bouchon - Kyoto

An amazing overall experience. we arrived directly when they were opened, I believe reservation is preferred, but they made space for us. brot is offered, we both have the dinner set; each an appetizer, a meat or fish, and a dessert. excellent wine selection and delicious espresso with dessert. many thanks for the wonderful experience, would definitely recommend! only

The classic brasserie in French style is famous for the lunch of hanger steak. we made an 1130 reservation, but because of the heavy traffic we arrived at only 12 o'clock. at this time we came, they had already given away our table, and there was a line five pairs deep. the manager told us that we could either wait in the line, or if we came back at 1 o'clock, he would make sure that a table for us. We have withdrawn by 1 o'clock and are quickly set up. good place for lunch. it is always packed, so reserve and go early.

The food is very good, the price is very reasonable, and the service is excellent! herr tamada, the manager and the chef waiter, is very friendly. he also speaks French and English. I'm vegetarian. there is not much I can eat on the menu, but if they ring a day before the hand, they will cook a special meal for the same price as the cursor set! I never had the same meal twice! the deserts are excellant (western, not Japanese) and make sure to taste an espresso!

The food was very French indeed with comprehensive menu. Excellent bread provided at the start and during the meal. I had the peach clafoutis which was excellent. We also ordered the pêche Melba, and the œufs a la neige were all very pleasant surprises.
