Shimmonzen Yonemura - Kyoto

Cozy and warm atmosphere, excellent food, very friendly staffs, but they definitely need to review the wine list.

Seriously good. An unforgettable way to spend Christmas Eve for my family and I. Chef Yonemura is playful in his interpretations of Western foods with Japanese ingredients and perspective. That's how refined, but not stuffed. Watching his miners under his close supervision on the counter is entertaining and absorbing. You get a full appreciation for the lengths they go to create culinary theater.

Fantastic! One of the best food experiences of my life. There is a very peaceful atmosphere and the things were very welcoming and polite. We sat on the bar, in front of the kitchen. It is fascinating to see how all chefs are perfectly synchronized and It is an absolute privilege to see Chef Masayasu Yonemura cooking for you. The food was excellent. All dishes were delicate and balanced with great respect for the ingredients. After a PERFECT menu, the chef Yonemura personally went to the door! Today was an experience I would never forget.
