Contribuisci feedbackWe went to this place after a recommendation of 2 Canadian sisters we met in a charming coffee. What a fantastic experience! We had 7 meals courses and each of them was unique. The cook uses ingredients from the counter and seems to follow its inspiration and look at your reaction to any new record. The beef he smoked was delicious together with the avocate with onions on the top, for dying ( surprisingly). Finally, the price was about 15000 for 2 people and 8 drinks, which is extremely affordable against the quality and experience you receive. Very recommended if you are in Kyoto
Really good vegetable dinner in Kyoto. There is no English menu, and best let the cook prepare several meal times. It will be around $60 per person with drinks, but is a really delicious and fresh meal. It has also been fun that the cook prepares us surprise dishes. I would definitely recommend this Izakaya if you are open to sit and allow the chef to work his magic! It's a small place, so it can wait. We were lucky and there was a table that opened in about 45 minutes, so we went and got a drink nearby.
Please look at this restaurant! It was an absolute pleasure in an experience. You do not have English menus, BUT you can let Hori-san know your allergies and he will give you a cooking course of things you can eat. All are fantastic and many of them have plenty of vegetables. The food is a very unique turn on a regular Japanese kaiseki, as many people mentioned. All we tried was fantastic. It was honestly the best meal I had in Japan while I was here several times. And one of the best meals ever had. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get (although not a cheap meal). It was about 4000 yen per person for food. And there were 9 amazing and different courses. Anyway, this place is a must in my opinion! Even if you don't speak the language, just go out of your comfort zone and leave Hori-san an unforgettable meal!
Hidden about this place because of Google reviews. No English menu asked the cook for any diet requirements at the beginning (my girlfriend does not eat meat) and from there simply brought food for us to enjoy. What an amazing experience! 10 courses and 5 drinks were 14,200 yen each. We were looking for something that was big on vegetables and something different from everyday Japanese cuisine and that was it. Five stars. Very recommended.
Great experience here. We saw this as a non-traditional kaiseki and had the chef's recommendations. Every dish was tasty and I definitely left feeling full and satisfied.
