There were initial concerns at seeing chicken gizzards on the menu but once you look past what we consider obscure cuisine there is some very nice dishes on the menu. Despite some language barriers we managed to order with the assistance of photos on the menu. The staff and atmosphere are great and we found it really cool to sit at the bench in front of the chefs cooking rather than the individual Japanese style private rooms. Everything was clean and efficient and well priced compared to some other restaurants in Kyoto. I can recommend the chicken and lamb skewers, baked salmon with cheese, tofu salad, the noodles, tempura vegetables just to mention a few. All the best from the Australian couple who purchased a couple of the T-Shirts all the staff wear. Tracy and Andrew.
