To make matters worse, the noise from the open-air nightclub across the street was unbearable, with music blaring until 1 AM. Although I enjoy many music genres—rock, metal, blues—the sound coming from the club was more of a painful noise that hurt my ears and made me feel sick. The pricing was another downside; I paid 1,100 PHP for a double room since the single was full, which felt steep considering that I once stayed in a much better room in Phuket for just 100 Thai baht (under 200 PHP!). Outside, there were some benches and tables, but they were filthy and the ground was just dirt mixed with gravel—a really unpleasant area to sit and relax. Compared to my recent stay at a resort in Dauin near Dumaguete, where I had an excellent room for under 500 PHP, Villa Indio does not offer any real accommodation value. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; it's definitely a place I won't return to. Thank you, but no thank you.
The best spot in La Castillana! Be sure to call ahead.
A serene and peaceful atmosphere with attentive staff.
