Chez Bene - La Ciotat

One of the must go places when in la ciotat. excellent value for money and a very unexpected experience when they go there for the first time.

My favorite restaurant when I am in la ciotat. first the decoration is unusual, this gives a special and pleasant atmosphere. I have always been welcome in this restaurant, even without prior booking. eating is very fresh, beautiful and a bit refined. the prices are. above the average in the opposite, but I think they are worth. last time I went there with strange friends. I usually have to translate the menu in most restaurants, but in this case the waitress did the translation and the dishes explanation directly to the English.

I must admit that the bean is a really cool place to sit and enjoy a meal or drinks on the 3 levels. I think, however, I made the wrong decisions from the menu when I ate here. the menu is only in French, but it was explained to us in English. I started with all the others was very tasty and I enjoyed mine. but the main course dropped me as I ordered the duck. I was asked if I liked it medium, rare and I asked for it to be cooked more than we do. I like mine and how I'm used to it. it came a bit rare and I had an annoyed since. we also had drinks and they, where everything was great to summarize it. I enjoyed the place but was somewhat disappointed by my individual court. there were no other problems with my friends meals.

We had Viand de Jour and Dorade. The Dorade with Aioli was fantastic and the Viand was ok in comparison.

Even though located side-by-side to some awful looking tourist-traps, this is a fantastic restaurant with fresh food and wonderful staff. Highly recommended
