Took my elderly Dad back here. Beautiful setting , attentive service not limited to provision of food and drink as Dad is a bit wobbly on his feet. Only 6 other diners but it was a Sunday. Chose the fixed Menu E.31, the...De luxe was E 41. with an additional course. The amuse bouche was an interesting savoury take on a layered soft pudding in a glass. We ordered a Cotes de Provence Rose La Vie en rose which was the best we had sampled during our break. The starter, Beet Bavarian on cucumber rosace with a balsamic reduction and white truffle looked beautiful on the plate but the taste of the cucumber rather overwhelmed the Beetroot. Fillet of Sea Bream with potato bakers,Meuniere anchovy butter with sage juice followed. Although I had asked whether the fish was farmed and was assured it was “sauvage” I had my doubts ! .The Potato with butter and juice was superb. The pudding, Poire Belle Helene with walnut crumble, was disappointing .We did not order coffee but to their credit were still served excellent petit fours, mini – meringues and mini rhum babas. Euros 90 inc service was reasonable.
Absolutely loved it. Couldn't have had a more romantic time with my husband. Excellent restaurant with such beautiful settings. It's an old Abbey and very idyllic. The outside terrace is delightful. The menu is small but wow what excellence is served on every plate. The...staff were attentive and helpful. Prices were in keeping with the French Riviera. We will definitely be back very soon
