Loved the place. Man the wife and was so relaxed there. And my daughter had an amazing time.
When we arrived we found there to be a bit of a line for checking in on a Monday evening however once we got to the front and Rebecca helped us we forgot all about the wait. She was so thoughtful, thorough and professional in explaining everything to my mom and I. My mom is recently been having to use a wheelchair and Rebecca was so intuitive that she asked my mom if she might need some other medical devices to make her stay more comfortable. We didn’t even know they had these things available and they were already waiting for us when we got to the room. Shower chair and toilet riser. The place was beautiful, large luxurious rooms with fantastic amenities. My mom said it was the most beautiful place she had ever stayed which brought tears to my eyes. The only thing I would suggest is more handicapped parking spaces. We had to park some dip from our from in the 61 building and with a wheelchair and luggage proved a challenge but again the only suggestion I would make. We stayed in the cove area and yes there was construction but I was only during the daytime and we were made fully aware prior to check in. As for the small amount of noise from Lego land we rather enjoyed hearing the beautiful laughter of happy families enjoying each others company while make memories.
Went here for a couple of drinks. Had a very non-tasty marguerita. Stick to beer if you go here.
There were some wonderful things about this hotel but overall I don’t think we will return. The hotel is HUGE. HUUUGE. the shuttle service they offer is great and Josh was SO nice. Our daughters (ages 4 and 1 loved riding with him on our last ‘joy ride’ with him he played Disney music for the girls and he was just so nice to us!! He was fantastic and everytime we sent a text that we needed a ride he was very prompt. The pools were very nice, perfectly heated, not crowded, plenty of towels. The rooms were very nice! Our daughters 1 and 4 slept in one room and my husband and I the other. The kitchen had everything necessary to cook dinner and breakfast each day. Here were my issues; 1. I got locked in the bathroom. My husband kept the kids away from me so I could shower in peace and I locked the bathroom door when I went in…. But then… the lock was broken and I couldn’t get out. I didn’t have my phone and I had to wait in the bathroom until my husband returned. I called the front desk later and they offered to send someone immediately to fix it but I asked them to fix it after we checked out as it wasn’t NECESSARY to lock our doors. The girl who I spoke to kind of laughed about it (as did I! but overall not a great experience to be locked in a bathroom. Haha We sent a text requesting to have our room cleaned and the text we got back was “we’re at capacity” and they said they only offered house keeping for people who stayed 5 days or longer. We stayed 4 days and with kids ugh! The floor was a mess! I was constantly using paper towels and crawling around on my hands and knees cleaning the floor with wet paper towels. We were only supplied a broom Which was helpful. BUT man, I needed a vacuum! I just wish that if they don’t offer house keeping they’d at least have a vacuum or some more cleaner options in the room. I felt like a pain in the rear texting the hotel for everything so I ended up going to target to buy more trash bags, and dish soap. The food at the pool bar was… eh’ just okay. The bartenders were lovely, and everyone kind (though I did watch the line cook pick his teeth while cooking ew but the food offered there wasn’t very good. It was quick and easy so we tried something different each time we came but just stick to drinks and the soft serve ice cream. The best part about the hotel was the staff everyone we encountered was just lovely. I just was disappointed that we couldnt get our room service when we asked for it I would’ve paid for it! I just needed a vacuum and some cleaning product. And with young children, the size of the hotel was difficult. Where we were located it was challenging to get it the restaurants on site.
