Java Vino - La Crosse

Large restaurant/bar with plenty of seating for a Saturday breakfast. The food was very good, the coffee is just okay. My wife and I started ordering a cup of dark roast coffee $3 or so) that the waitress said would be the brew of the day. Sadly, what she meant was that the brew of the day she told us was called Toasted Coconut after we got him and mentioned that he tasted like French vanilla and did not taste like a dark roast, was the darker roast of the two coffees they had. I pampered the beer of the day while my wife asked for a shot of espresso. Unfortunately, the shot didn't come out before my wife finished her coffee, but at least he tasted like a dark roast when he did. Just another question with the coffee/service was that the waitress did not ask if we wanted more coffee until we had finished our meal. Food about $10 per item), in the meantime, came relatively fast. I ordered the veggie omelette onions, mushrooms, peppers) with sourdough toast and a side of hashbrowns and my wife ordered the Florentine sandwich looked like a spinach omelet on toast with some cheese. My food was hot when it arrived, and although it needed some of salt and pepper on the table, it was very good, especially when I was on toast. My wife liked her sandwich, but it was just warm and not hot. She also loved my hashbrowns. Overall a good experience!

5/5 for service. Very friendly and quick service even if they are busy. 5/5 for atmosphere. It can be a bit loud in the background, but tables are sufficient that you can still chat without screaming. Very comfortable and nice place to hang out. 5/5 for drinks. The beverage options, portion size and quality are really good. 3.5/5 for food. Food option and price is good. But taste is not great (it is not bad) and consistent is not there (i.e., 1 inch thick tomatoes should not be in burgers).

First time there, staff were super friendly, inside is much bigger than I had expected. We walked in to get something to go, looked at menu, ordered, food came out fast and hot! Me and my co-worker were both pleased! ? Going to go back for dinner some time and dine in. Looking forward to it!

I went with my son to The La Crosse Gurls Drag Brunch. I had the Fabulous Fritata. My son had the Breakfast Burrito. Very cool place.
