Mario's Chicago Beef And Hot Dogs

It’s totally awesome food! The Italian Beef is the go to here. The Chicago dog is serviceable, yet enjoyable. The Depression Dog is great! The place is VERY clean and the atmosphere is great and employees are friendly! Very recommended!

Awesome Gyro! Need two bear paws to eat this monster! Some much meat, the sauce was spot on! They also have GREAT daily special prices! Two thumbs up! Next I will be trying the Chicago dog and Depression dog!

Best Chicago beef I’ve eaten since Al’s and Mr Beef in the Windy City. Tender beef stacked high with sweet and hot peppers. Make sure to have the roll dipped and grab lots of napkins, you’ll need them! Friendly and great customer service. Excellent, will be a repeat customer.

I really like this place, the food is awesome and the service is good. But, the flaw of this place is the hours!! It closes on 8pm on weeknights and midnight on weekends. When I drink downtown, all i want is a chicago dog or italian beef, but it is closed 95% of the time. I think this place is 200% better than any other downtown fast food, but it is literally never open.

I have to be honest here... The owner was snappy, the food was hard to eat, the beef wasn 't made right, the beef was greasy, the bread couldn 't hold the beef, and all of the food was a mess. This is why I wish Ed 's Beef and Etc was still open. This restaurant is absolutely terrible when it comes down to TRUE Chicago style food. We ordered four orders of fries and did not get one out of the four. So, the owner comes by and asks how everything is and he was politely told we were missing an order of fries. He snaps at us and says, No you 're not and tries to walk away. Of course, we showed our receipt and then he went silent. Like... WHAT?!? We paid $50 for that meal and it was HORRIBLE. Never going back that 's for sure.
