Sushi Pirate - La Crosse

The vegan sushi rolls are quite delicious and really affordable! There are about six different vegan roll options available on the vegetarian menu. However, the tempura contains eggs, so it's best to avoid that. I also enjoyed the edamame as an appetizer.

The sweet potato rolls were incredible, as were the veggie gyoza. It’s actually operated by a Chinese family who has trained in Japanese cooking, and they were all very friendly. I arrived just before closing, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, like a family gathering. I enjoyed chatting with the chef, too. Plus, I only paid $12 for three items! I made sure to give them an extra $4 tip because they were so wonderful.

This relaxed restaurant features a comfortable ambiance, fresh rolls, and quick, friendly service. The vegetarian menu was delightful and accommodating for vegans when requested without eel sauce. Gluten-free tamari is also available upon request.

Went with my omni friend when visiting La Crosse and was pleased with the vegan choices. My friend and I split the seaweed salad and fried tofu appetizers. Seaweed salad was very tasty. I also ordered 3 different veg sushi rolls. The most unusual was an avocado peanut roll which was pretty good with a strange texture combination. Service was fast friendly. I would visit again.
