This is a high-end, mid-century rotating restaurant atop a modest sky scraper. You get a slowly changing view coupled with solid service and reliably delicious food in a civilized and relaxing atmosphere. (Here you can easily have a regular, unrushed conversation over your meal. The menu is expansive and successfully blends the best of mid-century surf turf with local Colombian. For example, the “Lobster Fragata”—which I highly recommend—is a three way presentation that combines Lobster Thermador with more Columbian-style preparations and serves it over addictive coconut rice with plantains.
The food was good, but I had better lobsters. The view is amazing and the ambience is perfect for a date or a romantic dinner with your wife. Prices are not expensive compared to restaurants in America. I definitely go back.
My daughter had the paella ever bite like a spoon of sand and tasteless to eat. Had to bring the paella back. My daughter left the restaurant hungry because it took almost an hour to bring the food and she didn't want to wait. My mother had the lobster 3 Fragata was terrible. The lobster was over boiled and didn't even taste like lobster. Not worth the $200 price tag. I had the Lomo w/cheese was hard like a rock. Then we ordered to dessert the Flan de Coco there were more coconut flakes then flan and zero carmel sauce. That was the driest flan I ever had. The restaurant has a good view of the city and the rotating floor offers a 360 view. others then the view there is nothing to recommend. This should also be a fine, burning restaurant that serves a paper napkin and the bread was a croissant. Had to ask for fabric napkins. Overall for the price and quality of food, I would not recommend this place. The staff was nice.
This has been one of the most traditional fine cuisine restaurants in Bogota, so whenever we are in town, we love to go. This time was not the exception, food is absolutely exquisite, ambiance is great and the view of the city is very charming. They have been able to maintain their high level service, decoration and excellent food over the years. Don’t miss the “Tres Fragatas” Lobster tails that allow you to taste three different lobster recipes; all of their prawn entrees are delicious as well. Having been there since more than 25 years ago in this and their prior location, I would highly recommend this restaurant to any local or foreigner visiting Bogota, it is an amazing experience that never disappoints.
