Chefs Cafe - La Jolla

I work in the building, so I come here quite often and never get tired of their food. Chef Felix, Mama, the whole family and everyone working here are always super friendly. The food is really tasty and affordable, especially the chipotle chicken ciabatta sandwich and their flatbreads. I always get a side of their homemade chipotle salsa too. In fact, anything with chicken is excellent here since Chef grills it fresh every morning. Would definitely recommend!

Wow! I’m so happy I discovered this hidden gem! The breakfast burrito and sandwich we ordered were made from scratch and tasted amazing. The staff was incredibly welcoming as well. It’s just a quick walk from the Hilton at Torrey Pines, and as other reviewers have mentioned, it’s located in building #5. I highly recommend this place! We will definitely return next time we’re in the area. Food: 5/5

The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. However, the food is disappointing and lacks flavor, and the prices are outrageous! A salad for $25 is just too much!

We were visiting Torrey Pines and looking for a place to eat lunch. Found Chef's Cafe online and it seemed to have good reviews. We decided to check it out. Had a hard time finding it since it is actually in some kind of medical facility. So that's a little weird but the food was fantastic and the service was second to none. Felix made us feel like we were guests in his home. And after you get used to being in a medical facility, you realize that it is actually very quiet with lots of good seating.

Great spot for a quick bite! You can request items off the menu, and they always do their best to accommodate you.
