Chopsticks Inn - La Mesa

Rod Inn is a charming little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant in La Mesa. The service is good, and the food is GREAT! I am a vegetarian who has certain requests for preparation, and they are worthy of my demands. I recommend Buddha's medallions to all animal heads. Chopsticks Inn will also cook any dish you like with “Fake Meat”.

From the friendly welcome to the comfortable decor, this place is very welcoming. The hostess welcomes everyone who comes as if they were good friends. She was also our waitress and was very attentive and playful with my 5 year old daughter. It was definitely a pleasure to eat here. The food is delicious and comes in very generous portions. We share the Hot and Sour Soup, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken. There were no extremes in flavors and everything was very fresh. None of the dishes I tried was the best I ever had, but they were good and the service made it worth returning. The variety was great. There were dishes for vegetarians, sushi lovers and a complete Chinese menu. Even better were the American food options, you should not bring adventurous eaters. I look forward to tasting more dishes in the future.

The best Chinese in the county! Anna, the owner, is a careful cook and teacher of her sous kitchen and each dish is a joy, each with its own character. New in the menu is a complete Japanese menu including Sushi, Tempoura, Teriyaki, Udon noodles, etc. and also Thai specialities. A fully vegetarian menu also prepared with almost every dish on the regular menu tastily with healthy protein substitute. You will take time to help you with the menu and with your selection, so you will get a complementary selection of dishes. Great for larger group dinners, parties, events, also like CI has 2 full storefronts of the room.
