El Pollo Loco - La Mesa

They didn't even make our order ,had to leave without the food we ordered because staff forgot about our order!!!

Really good tasting grilled chicken. Well marinated and tender meat. Quite expensive for the quantity vs price. Sufficient level of service though impersonal at times.

Tried this place the other night. It was not very good at all. Kinda like bad chipotle rip off. Service was noticeably unfriendly and usually I don’t care about that. Small portions too.

Tables, chairs, under tables needed cleaning attention. Spent five+ minutes prepping a table and chairs. Food was exceptionally bland, house salsa was made with green tomatoes, portions were especially small, drinks were watery bland, house bell ringer was missing (not that we needed it). This was a challenging day for the staff? Only a first love our El Pollo Loco! Thank you for your service! We simply weren't expected or wanted today... Bummer.

This location is trash. Every single time I've come here they've messed up my order. One time I called to complain and they said they were going to write my name down, the next time I went for my replacement order they claimed they had no record of me calling. I go to El Pollo Loco's 7-8 times a month and it's disappointing that this location can't seem to get it together.
