Hotel-Restaurant Burdet - La Pesse

We stayed a few days at Gîte chez Burdet another time this summer, to enjoy the coolness of Jurassic nights. Our opinion is unchanged. Excellent food, forthcoming staff, and reasonable costs make you easily forget lack of luster, plastic and marble.

Despite the fact that we were a big party (11 people) and that we had been there just a couple of hours before, we received the worst customer service I have personally experienced had in my life. Service was incredibly slow, borderline rude, very unhelpful, sloppy and the servers were just making us feel uncomfortable about the fact that we would ask questions on the menu. I am pregnant and I specifically had a lot of queries considering my eating restrictions and not only were they not sensitive about this (despite the fact that we mentioned my condition beforehand), but they refused to serve me one of the few things I could eat on the menu because it was only for children and I wouldn’t classify to get that discounted meal as I am an adult. Refusing to serve something to a pregnant woman that is better for her health on the basis that it would make them get 4-5 euros less from that customer is simply outrageous.

We spent a week in La Pesse, biking (with e-assistance) on rental bikes. We ate every evening a pleasant and varied dinner at the restaurant. A bona fide french meal, entrée, plat, dessert tasty and plenty. Changing every night but always fresh, nice, and cooked prepared with maestria. For a moderate price, an experience we promise to renew in the near future. Don 't be put off by the environment, crossing the doorstep will take you to last century, but at a time when one could take the time to enjoy sharing a meal like in the old days of gastronomy.

Mes parents nous ont fait découvrir ce restaurant, nous avons passé un bon moment en terrasse, certe le cadre est simple et désuet, mais le repas etait au top, nous avons tres bien mangé. Le menu enfant est bien complet et pas cher. Nous avons bien rigolé aussi, bref un bon moment sous les parasols.Note extra pour la Pana cotta au citron vert et fraises et le cadre qui est dans son jus, qui peut paraître vieillot à certain.
