After visiting the castle in la petite pierre we searched for a restaurant. but since most restaurants near around 2 o'clock we came to this place. it was full of people so that we got a place in their other great space that was empty and dark. there we had another group, but they had luck and got a table near the window while my man, my brother in law and I removed a place from the window and it was very dark. then the server came and began to prepare our table, then it just went down from there. the server was very unfriendly and very rude, he didn't say anything all the time and we have to tell him how to make his job. first there were only 2 chairs there, so my brother in the law asked him for an additional chair, he did without saying a word, so we sat down, and then, when the server wanted, we asked him if he could at least switch on a few lights, because it was very dark, which he went without a word (again) and got the menu, came back after our order. because our French were limited, we asked him if he could tell us what this is, and on which he simply scrubbed his shoulders, so we thought ok then and just chose everything on the menu. (btw, he also left his server notepad permanently on our table as if it was her work area. the rude server went back, came back and brought us 3 pieces of brot in a basket and a little terrine. we waited for him to come back because we had no bread plate for our broth (it gave only table cloth and serviette.) but guess what he did not return. So we thought again, okay, so maybe we should put that broth on the table cloth and eat it? ... and so we have. my man and I don't drink alcohol, so instead we have ordered champagne water (we are used to eat in good restaurants, so we know how the dinge should work) so we ordered foam water, he came back with a bottle, put it on the table and left. he didn't even pour water into our glass, so my man did. he also left the wine glasses on the table, even if we don't order a wine. we ordered fish, but he didn't change our cutlery, so we used the meat knife. all the time that this happened that the type didn’t say a f ing word! even that we thank each one for what an oole! my man was too patient, he even left a tip (serious? a warning to the next guests, before a young, slender, (short) black hairy French guy. we were there at 2 o'clock so he can be there on the afternoon. ask for another server or go better into another restaurant. it is not worth treating her money so badly. it is service of light!
We visited the village after Christmas and found the eating on this place exceptional. the personal is especially beautiful and friendly for children. they have to save some space for the desert.
