Charles Street Bakery - La Plata

The banana pudding here is the best I’ve ever tasted! The interior has a lovely aesthetic, and the friendly staff serve up incredible food with pride.

I made a last-minute call for a birthday cake because the bakery we initially ordered from didn't come through. Charles Street Bakery had a stunningly decorated cake ready for us in just 30 minutes! The decoration was gorgeous, and the cake tasted amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, truly saving the day for us. Even though it's a bit of a distance from our home, we've decided to stick with them from now on. Thank you!

I ordered a retirement cake from them, and it was beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, the chocolate layer didn't taste like chocolate at all; it tasted more like a yellow cake. I had been looking forward to this for months, so I was quite disappointed.

This is the best thing about La Plata! If you get the chance, I recommend the stop. Everyone in our family has his favorite treats, but absolutely everything we have ordered or eaten was wonderful! The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. Sometimes I can't choose and they always help me find something to satisfy my sweet tooth! Very HIGHLY recommended this place!

Love this local bakery! We ordered an unicorn cake for my sister’s birthday and it’s perfect both inside (flavor) and outside! The price is very reasonable too!
