There was only one person in the restaurant, and he both took my order and made the food.My order took about an hour to be done which was upsetting but I tried to be patient because there was only the one person there. However, the meat was literally rancid. You could tell by look and smell- but I even tasted it just because I thought I was overthinking it and perhaps it was a seasoning or something making it seem like it was rancid.Nope!! It definitely was beyond a doubt. I don’t know how anyone could serve someone that and not notice. Disgusting! This place should honestly be shut down.
The thermometer read 47° when we went in there… I knew this wasn’t going to be a good experience. It wasn’t. I got a three taco dinner. The last beef taco was so bad that I could not eat it. I took one bite it was so terrible. I left it. The fajitas were terrible. No hook up to sink in men’s room. We will never go back there again. Big mistake.
I have a special place in my heart for this restaurant. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. The owner personally takes your order, cooks the meal, and serves it to you. Be prepared for a wait, even if you are the only one dining there.
The service was excellent and the Mexican food was definitely authentic.
I feel conflicted about giving this restaurant a rating since we didn't actually eat there. However, after reading other reviews, maybe we lucked out. We showed up an hour and a half before closing time, only to find the kitchen lights off and the staff only offering takeout. On top of that, there was a strong smell of natural gas when we entered the restaurant. If it were my establishment, I would have called the fire department out of concern for a potential gas leak.
