We had just made an energetic walk in beynac and stayed here to explore. here a nice cold beer and wine. nice place and people eat or drink around us. they cost us 6,60 € for a decent drink.
We visit here more than once each time we stay! Perfect pit stop if you are canoeing down river. They couldn't do enough for allergy sufferer too!
We arrived at 18 o'clock and I picked up my better half of the car to grab a table while I was parked. I spent 3 € for the parking until the next morning, as the next day I hopefully would come back wein...with our food. I came to the table and began to confuse the menu as the waiter appeared. he literally stood and watched me for about 15 seconds by running my finger up and down and looking for something to eat (some, what hurried when we were mentally closed about 19 o'clock). only when I had chosen my dish, I said quite abruptly “no food”. total parking lot reduction and drove to the next village for a meal and stayed t totally for the evening. note, in the night only this and the even more dirty hotel restaurant were open next door. Why do they have menus on the table and see them choose me if they don't eat? totally senseless and rude waiter to boot.
We went there to sit in the sun and have a cool drink and enjoy the delightful afternoon in La Roque-Gageac. We are staying here in a nearby hotel. The older waiter was patronising and rude in his service. The younger man was very pleasant...and helpful. When I ordered a Prosecco , it arrived quite flat and not bubbly as it should be. The younger gentleman took it back to hopefully get me one from a fresh bottle, but came back apologetically, to tell me the bar man tasted it and said it was good. I decided not to get a drink at all after that. the patronising waiter even dropped by and said” no drink then?” We had already received the bill which included the price of my flat Prosecco, and my husbands beer totalling 7.90 euros. my husbands beer was 1.90 eu when the new bill came back he was charged 3.30 eu as I recall Obviously it’s not the extra cost we were required to pay that’s the problem here .... just the discourteous and patronising service . In absolute opposite service the hotel next door “des platanes” had great service with a smile and fresh bubbly Prosecco! Which one would you choose?
