Perhaps it's because we ate on the night the French had beaten England in the rugby but this is not a bar/restaurant for the feint hearted. The owner takes to the mic and plays a mix of 70s disco hit covers at varying volumes from...loud upwards. He casts his view on the events of the day, history and anyone coming through the door. It wouldn't pass a PC test in the UK, so at the leat the English contingent were frequently raising their eyebrows. Pizzas are decent and the wine is cheap (comparatively). It you want bizarre it's the place to go. If you fancy a quieter night, with a pizza and the ability to hear yourself think then I'd opt for somewhere else
We chose the restaurant because the children wanted gnocchi. However when the gnocchi arrived with pesto it was swimming in oil and almost inedible. One of the party had pizza where the topping including an egg was very undercooked. We were seated next to the...fridge containing raw meat which was unpleasant. The waitress was enthusiastic and the service was adequate. Overall not a good experience.
This restaurant is a real gem. We were a group of 6 adults and 7 children and what a treat it was!!! The food was truly exceptional and catered for everything from 40 different types of pasta with various sauces, incredible metre long pizzas, and...delicious traditional French dishes such as raclette and fondu. Now I’d be happy alone with the above but the cherry on the top for us was the absolute joy provided by the chef/dj/owner, what a legend!!! If you’re in a bad mood or having a terrible day just 30 mins in this place and you will leave happy!!!! You seriously must go, what a fantastic little place. So much character and super friendly helpful staff. Thank you for a memorable evening!
