I’ve never experienced anything like this before and we’ve been traveling by caravan for many years. We went there 2 days in a row asking for a spot and no one was ever able to tell us any information just to wait. The second day after waiting 3 hours one younger man finally told us some useful information that the camp is booked in winter and the booking closes in spring. Because we didn’t have booking like all the others, they come before us and if there is a space left they give it to people like us. Which would be completely fine if they could at least tell us how many potential spaces are there and not to wait here 2 days in a row till 12 to find out that they are completely full. We also called in advance and no one was able to tell us any of this information or useful information at all and the manager was the rudest arrogant person I’ve ever met. I wouldn’t stay here just because the horrible customer service and I would definitely recommend replacing the staff because this just ruins one holiday.
Conclusion: worst experience of campings in France. Never had such an experience. Started directly after a long journey at the check in. We made a reservation more then 6 months prior the arrival. No emplacement was reserved, you get a place which is unoccupied. In our case the choice of one; a none leveled too small piece of rocks directly near a busy road for our tent €75/night). Although we mentioned the dimensions of our tent in the reservation, it wouldn’t fit on that place. The reaction of the camping, we could wait one or more days for a better place. If we wanted that we had to completely dismantle the tent and all of our stuff, of course especially with a kid you won’t do that. Second; we had to give our passport during the stay, after the stay at the moment of check-out it will be returned. First of all, this is illegal and against European regulations, you have to wear your passport always by yourself in a foreign country also in the EU, not just a drivers license. Second you have to protect yourself against identity fraud. Third, the reason the reception and director stated was for deposit reasons. As far I know, deposits should be done by cash or credit card, not identity papers. Final complaints; every morning at 7.30-8.00 o clock a real big truck drives around for supply’s. Not good for people who still wants to sleep at that time. By the way the coffee in the two restaurants was also really really bad. We made a complaint at the camping, nobody helped and didn’t even take us seriously. After that we made a complaint at the head quarters of Yelloh Village, also no help or good explanation. Very very disappointing after years of Yelloh.
The campsite is located directly on the Pyla dune. The campsite seemed very overcrowded in some areas, the pitches are sometimes very small and are also very close to each other. Fortunately, we were able to change our pitch again on the first day. Overall, we liked everything very much. The sanitary facilities are clean, the campground offers a range of entertainment options such as a pool, mini golf course, children's playground as well as a restaurant, a creperie and a supermarket. A visit to the beach at the Pyla dune is also highly recommended.
Hello , we here about the horrible fire on the campground. Our thoughts are with you all . It is one the most spectacular campgrounds we have ever been . We sincerely hope that you will have the possibility to open this fantastic area again . All the best ..
Wonderful camping with good service and multiple pools for kids and one bigger one, they also have a water slide. It's extremely close to the beach an has a wonderful sunset. This is also a dream place to fly paragliders. The camping spots are altso well isolated from other people so you get your own privacy
