Hotel Bellaval - Laax

Hotel is run by a young couple who does a marvelous job of making a go of it. Extremely helpful to us. We got a great room on the ground floor with exit to the garden. When my husband got a cold and we asked for an aspirin which they didn't have they and asked for where is a pharmacy they said no one in laax, but brought us adequate something from pharmacy in flims. On the day of our leaving we asked as we had a night flight if we could stay vacate the room later and after checking that the room is free for next day they let us stay till we had to leave late in the afternoon, An unheard of kindness in Swiss hotels. upon leaving we asked if they could prepare a lunch box and were told to help ourselves from the breakfast table, both medicine and lunch box they refused to charge. The evening meal was a celebration in itself. We stayed 9 days without a repeat of the meal beautifully made and presented. I even got a little lesson in fancy napkin folding. The cooking was a real culinary experience. A very personal touch in dealing with guests and really caring for their well being. Please note that the review is for a hotel not only a restaurant!!!!
