One of my favorite fly-in breakfast places. Service is always prompt, but don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table on a Sunday at peak brunch time. The carnitas skillet is really good, and the biscuits with guava jelly are to die for.
Very pricey, two eggs and two bacon, and toast with coffee was 15.00, they charge 3.50 for a cup of coffee, the waitress was very polite and good service, but there is no way a little cup of coffee should cost that much when everyone in town charges 2.00 why are they 3.50 for coffee and 4.00 for soft drinks and tea, never will go there again, it's sad they charge so much for breakfast like that. They gonna make it to where people can't afford to eat out, I understand that prices are up, but this is what's going to put restaurants out if business and already have, cup of coffee should not have cost 3.50 for a small cup plus the first cup I got had coffee grounds in it, plus we didn't get menu to see prices of coffee til she brought it and we had to ask for a menu! Update answer to their review: they said cost went up 400 and they charge 25 , if the cost went up 400 then nobody would be in business, slowly these businesses are going out cause of the cost of eating out! 400 is a lot and business would be out of business!
I love eating here. Everything looks good tastes good! It's always tough trying to decide what I want because I want it all!
I usually take a bunch of photos of what we eat, but we were all so hungry we couldn't wait lol. Everything we ordered was great. This was our first visit here and will be coming back when in town. We had the buffalo wrap, a cheese burger that wasn't just a frozen patty like many restaurants use, philly sandwich that tasted just like a cattleman's steak, load fries, a Cuban, and some fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes had a nice fried breaded coating that wasn't corn meal. These are some of the best I've had and we've even had them at the Whistle stop cafe in Georgia. Id give them an overall 4/5. If they were a touch thinner, my personal preference, I would have give them a 5/5. Our waitress was very attentive and on top of the refills. We never felt like we were being ignored. We didn't have room for the desserts there, but we did walk out with some baked goods to try when we get home. They have a variety of cupcakes, brownies, cookies, pastries, and muffins...so save room for some sweets or be sure to take some with you! Oh and their hot chocolate is so chocolatey and made my kids day. Parking: No trouble finding parking. Kid-friendliness: Kid menu options on the back of the menu. Nice selection of chicken tenders, Mac n cheese, pb n j, pork snacker, quesadilla. Come with a side and drink for $8. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp available.
